Qawarma is a traditional Lebanese pantry made from minced lamb meat. Our locally bred Awassi sheep graze freely in the wild oak forests of Adonis Valley feeding mainly on acorns. The villagers cook and preserve the minced meat in its own fat, pour it hot in glass jars and then store it in a cool place for the winter.
Serving recommendations: Scoop out the Qawarma as needed, fry in a pan for 3 minutes and add eggs. It can also be cooked with Kishik soup or used as a substitute for ground meat in many dishes.
